Definition and Usage
The pathinfo() function returns an array that contains information about a path.
The following array elements are returned:
- [dirname]
- [basename]
- [extension]
Syntax
pathinfo(path,options)
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
path | Required. Specifies the path to check |
options | Optional. Specifies which array elements to return. Default is all Possible values:

Tips and Notes
Note: The pathinfo() function returns a string if not all elements are requested.
